Julie Matheson is a highly regarded Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Director of the FAAA with over 35 years of experience in the profession.

Known for her insightful guidance and practical approach, Julie has helped the profession through her work on committees of the FPA/FAAA Board since 2006, advocacy to government on the reducing red tape in the profession and mentoring and advising new licensees and practitioners to achieve their financial goals and business aspirations. Julie received the FPA Distinguished Service Award in 2016 for her volunteer services to Chapters, Committees and Taskforces since 1992.

With a strong background in business and as elected non-executive Director of the FPA/FAAA with extensive industry knowledge, Julie is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) since 1992, Life Risk Specialist (CFP®), holds Bachelor of Arts from UWA, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Julie’s personality profile and business strengths as a Strategist and well suited to business planning workshops. She is a big picture person who is organised and results orientated that looks ahead and considers how decisions with benefit the entire business. Julie has gathered years of experience as a Certified Financial Planner and director in finding out the facts and getting to the bottom of important issues to turn risks into opportunities.
